A lovely print of Windsor castle by Robert Sayer. This print dates to between 1748 and 1760, as this was when the seller was trading from The Golden Buck, Opposite Fetter Lane, Fleet St. The print still has good colour, especially in the sky, and the coat of the man in a tri-corn hat who is fishing, and the lady in blue promenading. There is a lot of interesting subject matter in the foreground of the print, promenading gentlefolk, and a variety of vessels in the water. Under the print is written 'Publish'd according to act of Parliament. A view of the Royal Palce of Windsor. Printed for and sold by Rob't Sayer, map and printseller at the Golden Buck, opposite Fetter Lane, Fleet St'.
