A fine Blonde Tortoiseshell tea caddy dating from the early part of the 19th century. Each panel of tortoiseshell is separated by metal stringing, and there is also a vacant cartouche to the lid. The velvet lined, hinged lid opens to reveal two lidded tea compartments, each lid with ivory knob. Any restoration has been completed by ourselves and the caddy is presented in excellent condition with working lock and key.
