18th Century Japanese Imari Trumpet vase

A fine 18th century Imari trumpet vase is richly hand painted with the traditional imari ho ho bird, and floral and foliate designs. These motifs are handpainted in the traditional Japanese imari cobalt blue, iron red and gold, and also a more unusual green. This vase is unmarked on the base. The vase is in good condition. Minor points to mention are that the gilding to the rim is worn, and there is a blob of blue under the glaze on the inside of the flare of the trumpet, occuring during the production of the vase. See photo.
