Victorian mahogany wind out dining table, C1840

A good mahogany wind out dining table dating to around 1840. This table has one leaf, and will seat 8 when extended. The table has nicely carved legs on brass castors. The dining table has been traditionally re-finished i our workshop.

Six Rosewood Dining Chairs

A fine set of six , early Victorian rosewood dining chairs. All the joints are sound. The colour and patina is excellent. The upholstery is sound and in good condition but has not been recently upholstered. Measurements Height 33,1/2" (850mm) Width 19" (482mm) Depth 21" (533mm) Seat Height 19" (482mm)

Heavy cut glass vase, fine quality

This trumpet shape vase is a real beauty. It is nice and weighty, but also looks elegant. It has a cut design of pear and leaves on one side and an apple and leaves on the other. There is no makers mark, but its still lovely.

Nickel Plated club fender

Unusual Nickel plated club fender dating from 1901. The seats have been re-upholstered in leather and under the original upholstery was the date 1901.The nickel plating is in good order throughout. Measurements: Length 134.5 cm Depth 50.8cm Height 46.5 cm

Silver Enamel Vesta Case by Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd. 1905

We are delighted to be able to offer for sale this exquisite Vesta case by the renowned Silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Co Ltd. It is exceptional in both quality and condition. Dating from 1905 and bearing a Chester hallmark, the polychrome Enamel Scene depicts a group of hounds in a yard and the detail is wonderful as well as being in excellent original condition. There are, as you would expect a few small surface scratches visible with a glass, and the slightest of dents in the back. The hinge has no noticeable wear, the spring is strong and closes positively. This is the finest example of a Sampson Mordan Vesta that we have had the pleasure to own.

Waring and Gillow Ladies and Gents Mahogany Wardrobe

This pair of mahogany wardrobes were original retailed by Waring and Gillow in 1920. They retain their original finish and interior fittings.They have a few minor knocks and marks mainly to the sides, but are generally in good condition for their age.

Beautiful French gilt mirror

A Large 19th Century French Gilt overmantel Wall Mirror This Mirror has a beautiful Gilt and Gesso Frame. The carved frame is a rich gold which has darkened with age. The deep moulded frame is beautifully decorated, the arched top with a carved surmount of torches and swags. The mirror frame is in good condition, the bevelled plate mirror is also in good condition, with very minor foxing.

Victorian hobnail glass jug

A really unusual and lovely clear glass Victorian jug in a hobnail style. It was handblown in around 1870-80. It has an all over hobnail pattern, with a plain handle. This jug is in very good condition.


Mid Victorian hand blown celery vase

A lovely mid Victorian blown celery vase. The vase has a flared rim and stands on pedestal foot with pontil mark to base. It has a cut design and is a nice light weight. It is in very good order.
