Oak gateleg table, 17th century

An early gateleg table, dating to around 1680-1710. It is unusual in that it has its original bobbin turned legs, they have not been lengthened. Often with tables of this age you will find the legs have been built up at some point after the originals have disintegrated due to decades of the floor being washed down around it. This table is a rich dark oak colour and it houses a drawer. When the leaves are dropped it is a relatively compact size.

The dresser does have some historic woodworm (treated) to the drawer liners. This beautiful dresser dates to around 1760, George III.

Victorian Rosewood jewellery box

A lovely victorian rosewood brass bound jewellery box. The interior is fitted with a divided tray which lifts out to reveal more storage below. The interior is lined in its original green blind tooled velvet. It is in good condition, just a few compaction marks to the velvet where a previous owners jewellery has pressed into it. When you lift out the tray you will see extra attention to detail, as there is a golden Maple veneer running around the edge that the tray sits in, and also around the interior of the lid. A fine quality piece.

A most beautiful fine quality heavy early 19th C wine jug. It is in lovely condition, and has cut patterns to the body as well as engraved vine leaves (which is why I believe it to be for wine rather than water),horizontal cut decoration to the underside of the spout, and a star cut base.
