A quality bow fronted chest of drawers of finest quality materials and craftsmanship. A fantastic piece of furniture made to the highest quality, the piece is elegantly shaped. Having two short above three graduated full width drawers, each drawer has attractive ebony stringing and empire style loop brass handles. The drawers also have a quarter circle of crossbanding at each corner to add to the decorative appearance of the piece Outswept feet complete the appearance of this superb piece.
Four fine quality Edinburgh crystal goblets. Three are vintage with the oval 'Edinburgh Made in Scotland' mark etched to the base (used from 1955 until the 1980s), the fourth which is to the right of the picture has the more modern mark Edinburgh Crystal in uppercase letters.The goblets measure Fine condition, barely used.
A victorian triple wardrobe, also known as a compactum. It has three doors, the outer two with carved friezes. The central door is mirrored, with a curved frieze above. Inside you will find 4 linen shelves above two small and two large drawers. These drawers have lovely quality brass handles. The left hand door houses hanging space above a lift up lid which would originally have housed the chamber pot, but would be a very useful space for shoes. This walnut wardrobe is a lovely rich colour.
A characterful despatch tin with lock and keys by the famous Bramah lock makers. It is painted black with a blue interior, scratches to the paintwork commensurate with age.It has white initial W.B to the front, and a carrying handle to the top. Inside the tin there is a brass plaque which says '100 New Bond St. Bramah & Co lock & Despatch box manufacturers to his majesty the king'. The lock itself is also marked 'J.T Needs 100 New Bond St Late J.Bramah 100 Picadilly'. These marks date it to between 1904 and 1918. The lock works fine, and there are 2 keys with it. It would make a great decorators piece
